Murray is a highly experienced teacher and school leader. He trained as a teacher in Oxford, having gained his bachelor degree from King's College, London. He spent his formative teaching years at Wellington College, one of the UK's most prestigious and dynamic private schools, in leadership roles ranging from academic department head and boarding housemaster, to IB Diploma management and year group leader. In 2011, he was asked to help lead the opening of Wellington's first international branch in China, and became its Principal in 2013. He then moved southern China to work as Head Teacher in a Sino-Canadian school, affiliated to New Brunswick.
Lise, the Director of LooM, also has extensive international experience, having taught music, English, critical thinking and math in British, American, Japanese and Canadian schools in Beijing, Tianjin, Guizhou and Toronto. Bilingual in English and Mandarin, she has served in crucial management roles liaising between Chinese and English-speaking administrators. She has two bachelor degrees from Queen's University, Canada, in Education and Music. She is currently undertaking a Master's degree in Professional Education (International School Leadership) at Western University.
